Transformative, overwhelming, emotional, unpredictable, empowering, illuminating, honest, wonderous, miraculous, intimate, unselfish, captivating, mysterious, tender, intense and SO. MUCH. MORE.
Before I birthed my babies, I was unaware of the strength and love that I possessed. It was like a portal opened and inside I found connection and vulnerability that had been pushed aside. Not just love and strength for my children, but for myself. I am strong now. I love myself now. Motherhood may not be for everyone, but it was a journey meant for me. A journey that has led to becoming my best self and it is an ongoing process. Us women are strong even though mothering is anything but easy. We reach our limits, and then keep going and going. Somehow, we keep going. We essentially fall madly in love with a stranger and give ourselves completely to them, and in the process learn something about ourselves and the universe. It is an awakening to what we all have inside of us. Women. WE. ARE. ALL. STRONG.
